Discovery Flight FAQ
Common questions from first-time flyers.
Can I really take the controls if I've never flown before?
Yes! The aircraft features dual controls, meaning the instructor has full control at all times. Once in safe cruising flight, the instructor will demonstrate simple movements and invite you to gently fly the aircraft yourself.
What are the age requirements?
There is no maximum age. Anyone passionate about aviation is welcome. For student pilots beginning formal permit training, Transport Canada requires a minimum age of 14 for a Student Pilot Permit and 16 for a full Pilot Permit.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety is our top priority. We fly in favorable weather conditions (no heavy rain, low visibility, or strong winds over 20 km/h). If weather isn't suitable on your scheduled day, we will gladly reschedule your flight at no penalty.
